Mancala
The classic count-and-capture board game: three rule sets, five computer opponents, a story Journey, 32 puzzles and a new Daily Harvest every day.
ABOUT
Mancala (version 1.0.0.1) is the classic count-and-capture board game, rebuilt from scratch. Players take turns scooping all the seeds from one pit and sowing them one by one around the board; land in your store and you go again, land in the right empty pit and you capture.
Three rule sets are included: Kalah, Oware (Abapa) and Relay, plus the one-player Solitaire puzzle Tchuka Ruma. Play the computer at five levels from Beginner to Master, or pass and play on one screen.
The Journey is a story mode with 13 hosts in four chapters, three stars per match and new boards and seed sets to unlock. There are 32 puzzles, a single-turn Daily Harvest that is the same for everyone, and a game review that shows the turning point of each game.
Online play with a table code is built into the game but has not been tested on TrySomeGames.com. There are 42 achievements (two secret); progress is saved in your browser, and achievements unlocked while signed in are saved to your TrySomeGames account. The game is in English.

REVIEWS & RATINGS

VERDICT: A careful, complete version of an ancient board game.
Mancala is easy to learn and deep to master, and this version helps with both: a seven-step lesson, a preview of where your seeds will land, and a review that names your costliest move after each game against the computer.
The Journey and the puzzles give structure beyond single matches, and the three rule sets play quite differently.
