Word Doodle guide
Score the most points over all rounds by guessing words quickly and drawing so others can guess yours.
STEP BY STEP
- When it is your turn to draw, pick one of the offered words within 15 seconds.
- Draw the word; letter hints reveal some letters to the guessers over time.
- When guessing, type the word in the chat — case, spaces and hyphens do not matter.
- A guess marked 'close' is nearly right; try a small change.
- After every player has drawn in every round, the podium shows the winner.
CONTROLS
- Mouse, finger or stylus: draw on the canvas.
- Toolbar: 20 colours, 5 sizes, brush, bucket fill, eraser, undo and clear.
- Keyboard: type guesses and press Enter.
DIFFICULTY
Bot skill (three levels), drawing time, rounds, words to choose from, letter hints and word packs are set per game.
STRATEGY
- Start with the big shape, then add one detail that makes the word unique.
- Draw the setting when an object is hard — a wave for a boat, snow for a sled.
- Type a guess early; speed matters more than certainty.
- In Doodle Dash, skip quickly when a doodle means nothing to you — a skip only costs three seconds.
AVOID THESE MISTAKES
- Writing letters or numbers in the drawing.
- Spending the whole turn on fine detail before the main shape is clear.
- Typing a whole sentence — only the word itself counts.
DEVICES
Works on computers, tablets and phones; a stylus or mouse gives the cleanest lines.
