Minefield
Minesweeper as a field survey: fair logic boards, a 12-sector campaign, a daily chart and a duel against the CPU or a friend.
ABOUT
Minefield is minesweeper dressed as a field survey. You are a surveyor on a humanitarian clearance team in the fictional Velde Valley, returning land to the families who farmed it. Each board is a survey chart; the numbers are readings that tell you how many charges touch a plot.
Classic mode has the standard sizes — Easy 9x9 with 10 charges, Medium 16x16 with 40 and Hard 30x16 with 99 — plus custom fields. Fair fields are on by default: the board is generated so it can always be solved by logic from your first dig, without guessing.
The campaign leads you through twelve sectors in three chapters. Each sector teaches one twist: a pond in the middle, a river that splits the field, a walled pen without pennants, time limits, detectors, field kits and a prototype sensor with plus-shaped numbers. Every sector awards up to three stars: cleared, under par time and a clean sweep without aids.
The daily chart gives everyone the same fair field on the same date, and the game records your day streak. Duel is a charge hunt for two: take turns uncovering plots on one board, against a friend on the same device or against the Rookie, Sapper or Veteran CPU.
A hint system uses the same solver as the generator, so it only points out moves that are certain. Play with touch, mouse, keyboard or gamepad, with a day and a night chart palette.

REVIEWS & RATINGS
Editorial review by TrySomeGames — not a player rating
VERDICT: A thoughtful minesweeper that removes the luck and adds a campaign with genuinely new rules.
Fair fields change how Minefield feels. Because every board can be solved by logic, a loss is your mistake rather than a coin flip, and the hint system explains certain moves instead of giving you random safe squares.
The campaign is the standout. Each of its twelve sectors introduces one twist — water, rivers, detectors, field kits, plus-shaped numbers — and the light story of the valley gives the clearing a purpose.
Duel and the daily chart give two more reasons to come back: a turn-based race for charges and one shared board per day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
How big are the boards?
Classic offers Easy 9x9 with 10 charges, Medium 16x16 with 40 and Hard 30x16 with 99, plus custom sizes. Campaign sectors and the daily chart have their own sizes and shapes.
What are fair fields?
Boards generated so they can be cleared by logic from the first dig, without guessing. They are on by default in Classic and always on in the campaign and daily chart.
How do I place a pennant?
Right-click with a mouse, press F on a keyboard, X on a gamepad, or hold a plot or switch to FLAG mode on a touch screen.
How does Duel work?
Players take turns uncovering plots on the same board. Finding a charge claims it and gives you another turn; a safe plot passes the turn. The first to claim more than half the charges wins.
Is Minefield free?
Yes. It is free in the browser with no download. An account is only needed to save medals to a profile.
