MINIGAMES

Bite-sized, weird, unforgettable quick minigames you can play in minutes — chaotic party experiments from the TrySomeGames lab.

HISTORY

Minigames started as a creative outlet between bigger projects: tiny quick experiments shipped in days instead of months.

The first release, Minigames Party, bundled a chaotic pack of short games designed to be played in minutes and remembered for years.

The brand has since become a rolling lab — a place to test new mechanics, and new ways of being playful without committing to a full title.

OUR ANALYSIS

What works

Short sessions, no sign-up friction, and the variety of fifteen different minigames keep the format alive long after a normal party game would feel stale.

Who it is for

Friend groups, streamers, classrooms, and anyone who wants something playful for a five-minute break.

Where it is going

New minigames and party modes are added when they are ready; changes are listed in each game's version history.

HOW WE BUILD IT

Built in days, not months

Every minigame starts as a one-sentence idea and gets a hard time box. If it isn't fun in prototype form within a couple of days, it gets shelved. That constraint is why the brand can ship weird ideas that a full production pipeline would never greenlight.

No sign-up, no tutorial

A minigame has to be understandable in the first five seconds of play. We design controls that fit on one hand and rules you can explain while the round is already running — if a game needs a tutorial screen, the design isn't finished.

Hand-built variety

Every minigame has its own hand-built rules, scoring and art, so no two rounds play the same.

Designed for a room, not a rank

There are no ladders or seasons here. The success metric is whether four people around a table laugh — so scoring is loose, comebacks are common, and rounds are short enough that losing never stings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

How often do new minigames appear?

New minigames drop into the pack regularly rather than on a fixed schedule — when an experiment turns out to be fun, it ships. Existing games get balance tweaks in between.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything in the Minigames brand runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, with no account and no download.

Can I play with friends who are not in the same room?

Yes. Minigames Party supports both local play on one screen and online rounds with friends joining from their own devices.

What happens to minigames that don't work out?

They get retired. The pack is curated — games that stop being fun after a few rounds are pulled so the rotation stays strong.

Can I suggest a minigame?

Yes, and we read every suggestion. Use the idea form further down this page — several games in the pack started as player suggestions.
