STEP BY STEP

1. Start Career with the driving test.
2. Accelerate and brake to reach each junction at the right moment.
3. Judge yellow lights by your speed, vehicle and the weather.
4. Pull over to the right and stop when police follow you with blue lights.
5. Spend your earnings on new vehicles and paint in the Garage.

CONTROLS

• Keyboard: W or Up to accelerate, S, Down or Space to brake, A/D or Left/Right to change lane, H horn, C camera, Esc pause.
• Touch: gas and brake pedals, arrow buttons for lanes, horn and pause buttons.
• Gamepad: RT accelerate, LT brake, D-pad or bumpers to change lane, Start to pause.

DIFFICULTY

Moderate. The driving test is gentle; Blue lights routes and Rush hour demand quick, careful decisions.

STRATEGY

• Heavy vehicles need much more room to stop — brake early on yellow.
• Rain and winter lengthen braking distance.
• Move out of the lane of emergency vehicles for a bonus.

AVOID THESE MISTAKES

• Driving on when the police signal you to stop.
• Speeding past officer speed checks.
• Changing lanes into traffic at a junction.
