ORBITAL SHOOTER

What Goes Around

A first-person shooter on tiny planets where every missed shot orbits the whole planet and comes back to where you fired it.

ABOUT

What Goes Around is a first-person arcade shooter on tiny planets. Every bullet flies at orbital speed, so a shot that misses keeps going: it circles the whole planet and comes back to the exact spot it was fired from.

That turns a miss into both a threat and an opportunity. A level shot passes the far side of the planet, so you can hit enemies you cannot see or reach targets behind walls by firing the other way — and you get hit by your own shot if you stand still. Aiming up launches a lob that climbs high on an elliptical orbit and bursts where it lands.

There are four planets: Pebble, Cinder with lava that burns you and enemies, slippery Rime and low-gravity Driftmoon. Each planet's size and gravity decide how long shots take to come back, from about 9 seconds on Cinder to 15 on Driftmoon. Reaching wave 5 unlocks the next planet.

Waves mode is endless, with five enemy types, pickups, combos and trick scoring for hits that went a quarter or three quarters of the way round. Every fifth wave the shielded Mother Gloop lands, and you beat her by hitting her from behind. Trick Shots has ten lessons with one to three stars, and Party lets two to four players take turns on one device. There is no online play.
